About The Family Academy

Faith-based organizations often lack adequate resources, yet they are faced with serving vulnerable and at-risk populations in a way that is both effective and efficient for all clients. The challenges faced by those who are vulnerable or at-risk are complex and not easily solved by any one organization or program. Given this, the Family Academy was established to better serve our community. The Family Academy is a strategic alliance of faith-based organizations committed to implementing innovative approaches to better serve low-income families and children.

The Family Academy seeks to improve family economic self-sufficiency by implementing coordinated, client-centered, and trauma-informed approaches. Those approaches include services and interventions geared toward removing barriers to employment, increasing entrepreneurship, increasing family stability, child abuse prevention, improving educational outcomes, and increasing access to basic needs such as food and clothing.
